Performance Opportunities

Live Theater

Performances are an important part of a dancer’s training. Live performances give dancers an opportunity to learn choreography, to work with other dancers to create patterns on the stage, and even to act! Dancers of the Vacaville Ballet Company School will have several opportunities for live performances each school year, including The Nutcracker and an end of the year recital.

Participation in The Nutcracker is optional for VBC School students. Students enrolled in the school will be prioritized for casting. Auditions for VBC School intermediate and advanced level students will be announced at the studio. Casting for pre-ballet and basic level students will be based on age and height.

Open auditions for dancers outside of the VBC School will be held if there are role openings. Open audition calls will be announced here on our website and on our social media pages. Auditions will be held at the VBC studios. Participation in open auditions does not guarantee participation in the production.

No information on open auditions available at this time.
