Students will be introduced to classic Ballet terms, positions, and steps, but will then be modified to encourage fuller movement and participation in ways students and teachers alike may not know were possible. The goals in an adaptive class would be to develop independence, balance, self-confidence, and a love for music and creative movement, as well as learn how to express themselves through movement. Not only will they develop these, an adaptive class can build muscle strength and endurance, increase/improve coordination, aid in Cognitive Development, improve posture, strengthen joints, and learn various patterns in music and movement.
