Production
Participation in VBC Productions is open to the public. Auditions are held semi-annually for our Winter and Spring Productions. We encourage interested families to read all the information on this page to understand the commitments and obligations of participating in a VBC Production. We look forward to having you join us!

Production Fees
Production fees are non-refundable and do not include the cost of supplies
(i.e., tights, leotards, technique shoes, pointe shoes, make-up, hair supplies, etc.)
Character Role
Single or Double Cast- Number of performances vary based on casting. Performances will include a dress rehearsal and 1 or more student matinees (SMATs)
- Saturday rehearsals (rehearsal schedules are determined on a weekly basis and are emailed and posted online every Monday)
Supporting Role
Double or Triple Cast- Performs in half (double cast) or a third (triple cast) of the shows, including a dress rehearsal and/or a student matinee (SMAT)
- Saturday rehearsals (rehearsal schedules are determined on a weekly basis and are emailed and posted online every Monday)
Supporting Role
Single Cast- Performs in all the shows, including a dress rehearsal and 1 or more student matinees (SMATs)
- Saturday rehearsals (rehearsal schedules are determined on a weekly basis and are emailed and posted online every Monday)
Company Role
Lead & Corps Roles- Number of performances vary based on casting. Performances will include a dress rehearsal and 1 or more student matinees (SMATs)
- Includes Company warm-up class on Saturday mornings (mandatory)
- Saturday rehearsals (rehearsal schedules are determined on a weekly basis and are emailed and posted online every Monday)
- Potential week day rehearsals as the performances draw close
Production Policies
These policies and expectations are designed to ensure the running of a smooth production and for the safety of our performers and volunteers. We aim to provide a positive experience for you, your family, and our patrons while aiming to preserve the traditions of ballet and the theater. Any infractions of these policies and expectations may be grounds for removal from current and future productions.
