Vacaville Ballet Company

The Vacaville Ballet Theatre Dance Company is California nonprofit 501(c)3 public benefit educational organization which is subject to the provisions of the California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law. All activities and affairs of this corporation are conducted under the direction of the Board of Directors.

About the Board

It is the mission of the Vacaville Ballet Company to encourage arts education in Solano County by means of producing annual semi-professional ballet performances and supporting a company of talented young dancers. We encourage you to get involved in the arts in any way you can. It’s vital to the development of well rounded young individuals and fostering a sense of community.

As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of our donors and the dedication of our hard working volunteers. Together, we are able to present annual Winter and Spring productions, offering local dancers the opportunity to participate in a semi-professional level production and providing the community the opportunity to attend these productions without travelling far. Over the past 20 years, the continued support of the Vacaville community also allows us to provide scholarships to our dancers based on need and merit.

Mission Statement

To maintain a company of youth artists to give regular public performances in dance;
To create a scholarship program to aid talented students who would otherwise be unable to study dance;
To encourage an interest in dance among children by giving lectures and dance demonstrations in the public schools;
To promote arts in the community.

President’s Message

Thank you for joining us for the return of Mutiny! We are all so excited to bring back this thrilling, original ballet and hope you enjoy it as much as our dancers enjoy performing it. This second half of our 2018/2019 Season has been just as successful as the first. For the first time during my service to VBC, we have been able to offer all our Company Members funds toward the purchase of performance pointe shoes. As a former dancer, I am so excited we have been able to grow our Pointe Shoe Fund to make this a possibility for our dancers.

As we’ve continued to grow, we welcomed two new Board Members. These women join an already extraordinary group of women whose common goal is to promote arts education in the community and to provide a platform for these young ladies to thrive. I am very proud to be a part of an organization of women who challenge but support one another and I hope we can be a positive example for our Company to look toward.

As always, we greatly appreciate your support of the Vacaville Ballet Company! Arts education has been shown to enhance creativity and foster a love for learning. I’d like to encourage you to continue to support arts organizations in any way you can. Your contributions are immeasurable!
