About the Board

It is the mission of the Vacaville Ballet Company to encourage arts education in Solano County by means of producing annual semi-professional ballet performances and supporting a company of talented young dancers. We encourage you to get involved in the arts in any way you can. It’s vital to the development of well rounded young individuals and fostering a sense of community.

As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of our donors and the dedication of our hard working volunteers. Together, we are able to present annual Winter and Spring productions, offering local dancers the opportunity to participate in a semi-professional level production and providing the community the opportunity to attend these productions without travelling far. Over the past 20 years, the continued support of the Vacaville community also allows us to provide scholarships to our dancers based on need and merit.

Mission Statement

To maintain a company of youth artists to give regular public performances in dance;
To create a scholarship program to aid talented students who would otherwise be unable to study dance;
To encourage an interest in dance among children by giving lectures and dance demonstrations in the public schools;
To promote arts in the community.

President’s Message

Welcome to our 2018/2019 Season and thank you for joining us! This season is off to a great start for VBC. Over the summer, our Board of Directors worked hard to reorganize and structure our organization to improve the experience for our dancers and their families. I am proud of what we’ve accomplished this year and would like to thank the Board for working together toward achieving our goals.

We are pleased to announce the launch of our Enrichment Scholarship. This scholarship is designed to recognize and honor a Company member demonstrating excellence in academic achievement and service to the community. We were honored to award the first Enrichment Scholarship in October. We also kicked off our season with our first Dance-A-Thon fundraiser benefiting Pink Heals Solano. A huge thank you to all the volunteers and dancers who participated in making this a great and successful event! Stay tuned for upcoming events and fundraisers as our season unfolds. And come back in the spring for the return of Mutiny!

Thank you all for your continued support of the Vacaville Ballet Company and enjoy the show! Happy holidays to you and your families!
