About the Board

It is the mission of the Vacaville Ballet Company to encourage arts education in Solano County by means of producing annual semi-professional ballet performances and supporting a company of talented young dancers. We encourage you to get involved in the arts in any way you can. It’s vital to the development of well rounded young individuals and fostering a sense of community.

As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of our donors and the dedication of our hard working volunteers. Together, we are able to present annual Winter and Spring productions, offering local dancers the opportunity to participate in a semi-professional level production and providing the community the opportunity to attend these productions without travelling far. Over the past 20 years, the continued support of the Vacaville community also allows us to provide scholarships to our dancers based on need and merit.

Mission Statement

To maintain a company of youth artists to give regular public performances in dance;
To create a scholarship program to aid talented students who would otherwise be unable to study dance;
To encourage an interest in dance among children by giving lectures and dance demonstrations in the public schools;
To promote arts in the community.

President’s Message

Happy Spring! Once again, we’ve flown through a great season and are pleased to once again present The Wizard of Oz! This season, we’ve watched our youngest Company of dancers grow in strength and artistry. We celebrate their accomplishments this year and look forward to what they will bring to VBC in their future years.
We will wrap up our 2017/2018 season with our 2nd annual summer intensive. Trailing on the success of last year’s workshops, we are excited to offer a variety of past and new instructors and workshops, including musical theater! Our summer intensive is open to all dancers and no audition is necessary. Please visit our website for more information.
I’d like to extend a thank you to Vacaville Ballet Company’s supporters. Without generous contributions and devoted volunteers, VBC would not be able to present the level of productions you are seeing today. We would also not be able to offer these dancers the unique opportunity to participate in a semi-professional production. Arts education has been shown to foster creativity in youth and enhance a love for learning. Participation in organized arts activities fosters the development of skills such as discipline and focus. I encourage you all to ensure the survival of arts in your community and support the development of these skills in these young dancers. Give back in any way you are able. The long term impacts of your contributions are immeasurable!
